Chulo's Preschool

Lately, Chulo has been interested in school and having a special time to learn new things.  So, we've begun to do some of the things that Bonita and I did last year.  Like making, copying, and continuing color patterns. 

 And measuring all sorts of things with a tape measure.

He says that he'll learn to read when he turns 4.  We'll have to see about that. :)

It just makes sense...

So last night, Princesa saw this blog while I was posting the photos of their Thanksgiving lapbooks.  After reading what I wrote and looking at the pictures, she said, "pero, Mami, eso no hace sentido."  It took some discussion to figure out what didn't make sense to her.  I mean, I reread my post and everything seeemd clear to me.  Well, she had an issue with the nicknames.  If her brothers are Chulo and Guapo, she thought that her nickname should be Bonita.  So, from now on, Princesa is Bonita, and I'll have to figure out a way to remember that.

Thanksgiving

The kids had a lot of fun learning about the Pilgrims and the Native Americans.  Princesa really enjoyed the videos on Plimoth.org and Scholastic's Thanksgiving site.  Chulo liked the maps.  They both had fun coloring and gluing the paper dolls.
