Our apartment is a little less than half the size of our house in Bloomington, about 1200 square feet.  There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, which is just perfect.  The kitchen is a bit small, and the dining room/living room/office/entry is much smaller than we're used to.  Despite the small size, and the fact that we have numerous boxes in storage, the apartment feels like home, even more than our house did these last 2 years. There are pictures on the walls, drawings on the fridge, and homeschool posters on the dining room walls. The kids have posted their artwork on the walls and doors of their bedrooms, including a sign on Bonita's door, "causien.  pleiz nok."  I absolutely love that we can make the apartment our home, a reflection of our family, without the need for neutralizing or minimizing or any of the other things required when your home is for sale.
